Empower end users to custom report & securely access Dataverse data anywhere.

Simplify custom integration and reporting with Dataverse.

Popdock lets you empower your end-users to access, work with, and take action on data from anywhere in the app where they work. Go beyond the native views to work with more data and access insights from external system data real-time.

With Popdock, you can:

  • Combine Dataverse table data + data from other apps for advanced segmentation
  • Use an intuitive to interface to add as many filters as you’d like and work with Dataverse data
  • Share data and reports with other people in your company that you don’t necessarily want logging into Dataverse
  • Embed related external data in Dataverse or embed Dataverse data in other apps

Get the complete view of your customers with Virtual Integration.

Virtual Integration means that you’re able to embed data (using Popdock widgets) in the app where your team works and needs the insight. In the case of Dataverse data, a very popular use case is embedding ERP transactions in Dataverse on the related account record.  Relevant data from external systems allows your team to work smarter as well as better sell and service your customers.

With Popdock widgets, you can Virtually Integrate any Dataverse data with other apps. Learn more about different ways to present data where your team works.

Combine Dataverse data to get to the exact details.

Popdock includes powerful options to combine data, add restrictions, variables, and calculations. Join, merge, compare, and summarize data across Dataverse tables and with other cloud and on-premise applications you use.

Some examples of combining Microsoft Dataverse data include:

ERP + Dataverse:

  • Sales summaries with relationship manager (from CRM) by comparison date filters: daily sales, this month, year-to-date, this quarter, etc
  • ROI & spend related to campaigns
  • Commission reporting

Combine data from multiple tables in Dataverse into one report

Combine data from multiple Dataverse environments

Exception reports:

  • Any place where data may be missing
  • Data not integrated between Dataverse and your other apps

Dataverse + Legacy system data reporting

Empower Dataverse end-users to get to the details.

Popdock changes the reporting experience in that it allows end users to create and customize their favorite reports with some pretty intuitive features that don’t require being data scientist:

  • Unlimited filtering with advanced comparison options – periods (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual options) and compare to other data
  • Search
  • Add/Remove Columns
  • Group/Subgroup
  • Quickly create charts
  • Share, tag, and export
  • Use any lists in the Popdock Add-in for Excel
  • Enable an API endpoint for anyPopdock list to use in Power BI or Tableau

The best part is that users have a universal interface and way to query any data, not just their Dataverse data. Popdock includes connectors for a variety of business apps as well as universal connectors to databases and cloud applications via API’s.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price for this connector?

There actually isn’t connector-based pricing. The majority of available Popdock connectors are available with the purchase of every Popdock Plan. You can set up as many reports, connectors, and Popdock widgets as you’d like in all of the pricing plans. Premium Connectors, for example, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Connector is only available in the Premium Plan. Learn more about pricing here.

Is it possible to report across multiple instances of Dataverse?

Yes, you can set up a connector for each Dataverse environment and then use custom lists to join, merge, compare, or summarize your data.

Do all my Dataverse users need a Popdock user license if they’re accessing data via an embedded Popdock widget?

It depends how you set up the Popdock widget. If you’re looking for the Popdock widget data to inherit security from the source system, then, yes.  If you’re using a service user for the source data, then your Dataverse users do not each need a dedicated Popdock user.

Where can Popdock widgets be embedded in Dataverse?

Popdock widgets can be embedded as a web resource (oriFrame) in Dataverse.  The most common scenarios are embedding external data with parameters on specific records and to embed Popdock within dashboards.

Is it possible to get Popdock reports into Microsoft Excel?

Yes, the Export to Excel option can be turned on for any Popdock list and can also be made available within Popdock widgets. One Popdock app we highly recommend is the Popdock add-in for Microsoft Excel, which allows the end user to select any Popdock list favorite available to them to bring the data into Microsoft Excel.
